I recently had the privilege of attending the Heavy Equipment Operator training at Carolina Construction School, and I must say, it was an absolutely phenomenal experience. From creating building pads with precision to grading slopes to prevent soil erosion, digging trenches for pipe laying, excavating house footers, and loading dump trucks, every aspect of the training was geared towards preparing us for the demands of the job site. You will not find a better construction school than Carolina Construction School. This school went far beyond my expectations. The technical knowledge you get, the hands-on training on most forms of heavy equipment, and the real-life situations are more valuable than words can even explain.
The School Administrator is an amazing and incredible person. He goes above and beyond to help you in any way that you may need. He does everything he can to make it possible for you to be able to attend the school. Then there’s the instructor. What can I not say about this man, he is super knowledgeable, kind, understanding, very patient, able to explain things in “layman’s terms” and has one of the greatest traits an instructor can have; to not think they know everything and realizes that he too can still learn something new every day. Dustin will work with you, show you, lead and teach you in a way that it is almost impossible to not gain the knowledge and experience required to pass all tests.
Overall, you will be hard pressed to find a better group of people than the people at Carolina Construction School. They are some of the finest people you will ever come across. It was a pure pleasure to go to their school.

He makes sure thtat you get the “seat time” that you need to be a great operator. He also is patient and demonstrates everything that you need to know to be successful. If you leave this school and say that you didn’t get the proper training or seat time, it’s not their fault. It’s yours.

I completed my training and hit the ground running. I landed a great job with Gulfstream Construction Company. When I joined the team three years ago, our company was in the top five in the state of South Carolina with top of the line equipment, GPS and UTS technology. We have grown in to serviceing the Beaufort, Savannah and Brunswick, Georgia areas. In three years, I have learned to successfully operate any piece of equipment and do it well with my training. I am now a fine grade operator and able to map out parking lots with a GPS rover. I am part of a strong team and company that focuses on building up employees adn taking them all of the way to the top.
